Two Decades in the Making:
Celebrating Sarah’s Retirement and a New Chapter at Fairware
This year marks a major milestone for Fairware—we’re celebrating 20 years of helping organizations make their merch matter. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together, but this anniversary also brings a bittersweet moment for our team, our clients, and our community.

Honoring a Founding Visionary
After two decades of dedication and innovation, our co-founder Sarah White is stepping into retirement, ready to explore new adventures and watch Fairware evolve from a new vantage point.
Sarah’s vision and drive helped lay the foundation of what Fairware stands for today. From those early days building the business from the ground up, she has been an unwavering force for good, influencing not only the direction of our company but also leading impactful efforts in Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Sarah shared, “It’s bittersweet to say goodbye, but I’m filled with pride for what we’ve accomplished and where Fairware is headed. The industry has changed so much over the past 20 years, and I’ve loved being part of that evolution. I can’t wait to see Denise and the team take things even further.”

A Purpose-Driven Future with Familiar Leadership
With Sarah’s departure, fellow co-founder Denise Taschereau will continue to lead the company —now as sole owner. Denise will collaborate closely with Fairware’s powerhouse leadership team, including Director of Operations Nicole Hirst and Director of Sales Charles Freund, to carry the mission forward with innovation and purpose.
Our clients, partners, and suppliers can rest assured—this transition has been carefully orchestrated, and the day-to-day operations at Fairware remain unchanged. The same team, driven by passion and purpose, continues to deliver on the company’s commitment to doing good through great work.
“We’ve built something really special here,” says Denise. “I’m proud of the brand we’ve created and excited to continue showing what’s possible when values and business go hand in hand. This next chapter is about growing our impact, staying curious, and helping more organizations walk their talk through responsible merch.”
With a steadfast mission to create thoughtfully designed, ethically sourced, and sustainably made branded merchandise, Fairware remains dedicated to helping values-driven brands bring their stories to life.
What This Means for Our Community
We understand that transitions bring questions. For our clients, partners, and suppliers, we want to reassure you that Fairware’s foundational values and exceptional service are unchanged. Here’s our ongoing commitment:
- Thoughtful Curation: Our merchandise is thoughtfully sourced, ethically produced, and designed to elevate your brand and reflect your values.
- Sustainable Impact: We are as committed as ever to sustainability, whether it’s donating 1% of reusable water bottle sales to Water4Good or planting 10 kelp for every order to regenerate our oceans.
- Unmatched Service: With two decades of expertise, we make your merch programs seamless, from corporate gifting to employee engagement and event activations.
- Certified B Corp: We don’t just talk about doing good- we’re vetted and certified to back it up, using business as a force for positive change.
Looking Back, Looking Ahead
Sarah leaves Fairware with deep gratitude and big dreams for what’s next, both for herself and the company she helped build. Her impact remains woven into our story and culture. And as we celebrate 20 years, we’re more energized than ever to continue that story with you.
Thank you for your trust, partnership, and commitment to value-led branded merchandise. Here’s to the next twenty years of sparking conversations, doing good through great work, and helping changemakers like you tell your story.
