Based in Vancouver, BC, EastVan Roasters (EVR) offers artisan chocolate and coffee for your kitting needs! Their packaging is on point with sugar cane paper, compostable coffee packaging, paper straws and kraft paper boxes/bags for their chocolates. Moreover, they are an active part of the community and offer a dignified and compassionate work environment for at-risk people living in the Downtown East Side. Also, EVR uses direct trade to source the raw cocoa beans used in their chocolates, which means that the Dominican Republic, Madagascar, and Peru farmers are getting more for their products. When including EVR products in your kits, you will be supporting a small business, Vancouver’s local community, and farmers globally.
Bean-to-Bar Chocolate. The EastVan Roasters Dark Chocolate Bars cannot compare to any supermarket milk bar. These creations are single-origin 70% dark chocolate bars. Each with its unique flavour profiles, such as Guatemala: dried fig, molasses, black tea with low acidity or Pangoa, Peru: honey, raisin, balsamic reduction with mild acidity. Newly has a stunning line of beautifully made goods made of 100% recycled or repurposed materials. Their materials are created in ways that prioritize resource efficiency, minimize water use and greenhouse gas emissions, and actively divert waste from areas needing protection, such as waterways and land. Newly chooses to be honest about their effect on the health of the planet over profits and convenience. As of January 2021, they’ve (re)used 37,372 water bottles to make their blankets and to top it off they do not use any processing chemicals, so they are safe to snuggle.
