BCFS FAQ

IMPORTANT DATES: 

Monday, April 29^th, 2024 the Store will open to place Summer 2024 orders!

Monday, May 20^th 2024 All orders and artwork are due. Orders must be submitted through the BC Federation of Students online store by 5pm, on Friday, May 17^th.

Thursday, May 31^st 2024 Approval of your finalized sales order with the final art and details for each item is due.

Wednesday, June 5^th 2024 Deadline for sales order approval if you have submitted revisions

Monday, June 17^th 2024 Digital proof approval deadline. All proofs will be emailed for approval via our cloud-based order processing system. You have 24 hours to approve your proofs after which the BC Federation Staff may approve for you based on comparison to your original artwork. Production will not begin until art is approved.

Week of August 12^th 2024 Materials will all have arrived at campuses by this week. NOTE: Please confirm your Summer Hours and when the school will be closed for deliveries.

Friday, August 30^th 2024  Final payment is due. Cheques should be mailed to Fairware as below.

Artwork Submission *** New Process *** 

All artwork will now be submitted at the time of placing the order online. Please have your vector artwork files ready at the time of ordering.    

Please reach out to bcfs@fairware.com if you have any questions or need any assistance or with vector graphic files to have us configure optimally for your product and to flag any potential issues.   

You will not be able to place your order until you have uploaded your artwork.   

Artwork Specifications:

Maximum imprint areas for each product are listed underneath the product description. All pricing assumes a ONE colour logo or FULL colour Logo (where listed). For additional imprint colour availability, and costs please see the guide here.  Please note, that not all items can be decorated with more than one colour. Moreover, this document is meant to be a guide and is subject to change. 

All artwork files must:

• Conform to the print area specifications as noted for each product.
• Be Vector Graphics.
• Be saved in Adobe Illustrator format (.ai), Portable Document Format (.pdf) or Encapsulated Post-Script Format (.eps). Photoshop/Raster files will not be accepted.
• Have all fonts/text converted to outlines or font files sent with logos.
• Not contain more colours than the maximums specified for each product.
• Not contain tints, transparent objects, linked files or objects or gradients.
• Be supplied with the solid-coated Pantone colours referenced. CMYK files will be matched as best as possible to a Solid Pantone colour but may not be 100% accurate.

Vector Artwork Service: Fairware can offer a vector artwork service for $20 per logo. Complicated logos may require more time and a higher fee. The logo file will be sent for all your future use. Fairware will reach out via email to confirm if the vector artwork service is needed.

Orders can be submitted online beginning   Monday, April 29^th until Monday, May 20^th.   

The online store will send an email with an order confirmation listing all products ordered.  

ARTWORK SUBMISSION (new process): Buyers will submit their art at the time of ordering when placing items in the checkout. All orders with artwork must be submitted by  Monday, May 20^th. 

INVENTORY: Please note that all items may not be available in all colours at the time of ordering. 

PRICING: shipping & handling is not included in the pricing in this document.  BC Sales Tax is also not included in the pricing here.  Complete pricing will be outlined upon final invoicing. 

DELIVERY: Products will all have arrived at campuses by the week of  August 12^th 2024. Please note that products are shipping from different locations and may arrive at different times. 

PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT TO ENSURE ALL PRODUCTS HAVE ARRIVED IN GOOD ORDER. IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES WE NEED TO KNOW IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN DO OUR BEST TO CORRECT THEM. 

INVOICING: Fairware will invoice buyers directly working with BCFS and will add applicable shipping charges and setup fees to the final invoice as well as any additional apparel printing charges.
