We’re always excited about the projects and campaigns we get to support through our work here at Fairware. The ESL Matters campaign is just another example of the important work our clients are doing to drive positive impact in their communities.
Late in the evening on a Wednesday night, we got an email titled “when it rains it pours” from our friends at Nixey Communications. They needed to source 300 yellow, custom branded umbrellas for an event on Monday. We had two days to pull it off before an important rally in Victoria to encourage the provincial government to reconsider funding cuts to ESL programing.
To make their deadline, we connected with a great new supplier here in Vancouver (with a strong commitment to social compliance) and our trusty silkscreener. Together we pulled it altogether just in time for the rally in Victoria.
The rally garnered over 400 students and faculty from around the province to send a clear message to Premier Clark and Minister Virk that “ESL matters to BC jobs”. We couldn’t agree more. Learn more about the campaign here.
