ASI Power Summit – Social Media

In June, I attended my first Canadian ASI Power Summit in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON. The Advertising Specialty Institute hosts this event every year to bring top suppliers and distributors together to discuss issues and share information. This year, Fairware was asked to participate in the panel on social media. It was such a pleasure to present with social guru, Mark Graham of Rightsleeve, and we scored top of the class in the evaluations. Check out my brief summary here.

During my trip, I had the opportunity to drop in on Rightsleeve in Toronto and meet their team and learn more about communsku, ‘the easiest way to run your promotional products business’. It’s an impressive platform that has simplified a complicated business process, and it looks good too.


Next stop, Debco Bag, where people were kind of surprised I came all the way from Vancouver for their annual Carnival…


The last stop was with Kathy Cheng of Redwood Classics a supplier that I met at the ASI summit, who won the fastest growing distributor award this year. Congrats! This company has been around for a long time manufacturing quality apparel in Canada for big brands. They are vertically integrated from cut to sew, to dyeing, washing and decorating. I had a tour of their impressive factory and saw ‘made in Canada’ manufacturing in action! Their products are beautiful and well made. I also had the pleasure of meeting Julia Grieve of Preloved who has partnered with Redwood Classics in manufacturing her gorgeous clothing made from, you got it, ‘pre-loved’ clothing. We look forward to having Kathy and the Redwood team here in August for a visit.
